There has been a ton of speculation about who really is the mystery Inquisitor appearing in AHSOKA named Marrock. Is he a character we already know? Could it be the Starkiller from THE FORCE UNLEASHED? We want to know so the first place to look is at the talent providing the voice for Marrock. But who is that individual? We take a line of Marrock dialog from the series and run it through the RFR Sound Lab to try to deconstruct the vocal processing and identify the voice actor. You'll want to hear the results! Plus more from AHSOKA including fan reaction and analysis of the cool rock tune heard in the first episode as Sabine bolted from Lothal City, "Igyah Kah".  Plus, we feature a massive STAR WARS In Pop Culture segment fueled by your suggestions. And, we pay tribute to a couple of well-loved members of the STAR WARS fan community who recently passed, Marcus Dohring from the 501st and Rancho Obi-Wan's Stewart Levy.

So sad about Marcus and Stew. 😭

A new show to finish my 60 hour work week/ start the holiday/birthday weekend!!

Theory: Marrock is a clone of some known Jedi ? Maybe even Kanan ? He’s tall and thin

Adam Taylor

Gotta say. Jimmy spoke of his often mentioned theory (my very least favourite, in fact I audibly say No no no no! When he says it 😂 JMac theory) about the force awakens meaning suddenly everyone (or millions of beings) suddenly awaken to the force. I CANNOT THINK of a worse thing to happen other than maybe Captain America flying in to Coruscant and sharing the screen with Batman and Darth Vader. The Force, the Jedi, the stories of struggle and perseverance outlined in the OT have already been watered down stories written in the recent past. Don’t let the Force and the Jedi become meaningless. Also, I obviously love Jimmy (he’d be creeped out by it to be honest) just always stick out to me 😆 Also RIP to Stew and Marcus we truly are a family deep down.

Rebel Force Radio

Hey now. It’s just a theory. Not saying it’s something I would want to necessarily see. But you cannot rule out the hints that something like this may be in play.

Not me getting misty during my yard work during the In Memoriam section…Never had the pleasure of meeting those guys, but was touched hearing the way Jimmy and Jason spoke, especially with sensitivity about mental health issues.

RobO from ChicagO

I’m sorry to hear about the passing of two RFR friends.

Also, loved the caller’s sports analogy. I have friends on my feed who are Philly sports fans that will whine about the Eagles or the Sixers incessantly or talk trash about other teams (Dallas lol) but then say that Star Wars fans are the worst and should just be happy that new movies/shows are getting made. It’s possible to be a fan and be critical in both realms, and I appreciate RFR striking a great balance.

Great show as always! Very saddened by the news of Stew and Marcus, and every time I hear/see Zero the puppet it will be in memorandum of Marcus. The humour of Star Wars pop culture was a nice way to round out the show.

zillobeast

God bless their families and all of you guys. Hard to listen to some of that x

Peter Beisser

Ditto here about the recently departed. Met Stew when I visited Rancho Obi Wan last fall. A good dude. Sad to hear the news. There was a lot of love for the Wars there and Stew was a big part of it. Best to his family and friends. Don't lose your happy place, Jimmy. Keep hiking those hills.

Brian Robinson

Thanks for the whole music breakdown of Sabine's chase theme. That was cool and the fan produced version was awesome!

Trevor Hallam

So sad to hear of those passings. I’ve never met any of the other RFR fans but it really does feel like a community that I’m grateful to be a part of. Really appreciate you guys giving space to talk about the tough stuff. May they rest in peace and May the force be with their families.

Valentin

Jimmy you forgot my Star Wars reference from the show iZombie : (

Jeff Holland

Very sorry to hear about Stew and Marcus. While I didn’t know them personally, you know they were both good people by the way JMac, Jason and SW community talked and raved about them both. I did happen to witness firsthand some of Marcus’ generosity at ICCC ‘22 when he gave JMac Puppet Ziro the Hutt. The SW family lost a couple of good ones.

Trent

Merrok is kanan. He was pulled between world of worlds as baylan saving jedi. Dave has kept hera away. I think he will see hera turn back to good save her like in rebels and sacrifice himself. Shanti lightsaber looks like his and it’s funny how they made it a point huyang didn’t know it. Also thrawn assonates mom montha

Eric from Phoenix

Good discussion guys. So sad to hear about Marcus and Stew. I was at ICCC Con so was familiar with Marcus but unfortunately never got to talk to him. I like the analogy of the Force being like athletics. Anyone can play a sport but without natural athletic ability and a ton of work they will only be marginally effective or good. It’s clear that the Force is in all beings but we wouldn’t all be effective with it.
