Another awesome show & thank you Kyle for coming through. The reason Ezra needed to make the lightsaber in episode 8 because he taking on night troopers with blasters than fighting Samurai clad solders with staff & swords in episode 7. Especially, when those troopers can back to life. He felt confident on using the Force against those soldiers in episode 7 & had to use a blaster after dealing with them. His Force abilities at this time cannot block blasters. Also, Ahsoka survive the battle with Vader on Malacor. Dreams is very good and I own the 4k.

Loved the review by Kyle, it's exactly what I feel about this show !

This was my favorite Kyle appearance in a long time. He was putting down some deep thoughts. Glad he seems in a great point in his life professionally and personally. And respect him for being a longtime loyal fan of the show and all of us.

Great interview with Kyle…as usual

Haven't finished the episode yet; only about halfway through, but finding Kyle's thoughts intriguing. As regards the troopers coming back to life: I wonder if that's a power that has severe limitations, either in how long they can do that for or in how many. I haven't seen the Clone Wars episode with the undead in a long time, but I seem to remember if the Nightmother(s) responsible for raising them were killed the undead would "die". With the way they were presented at the end of Ahsoka, it seemed like a last ditch, desperate move. Like something they didn't really want to do unless absolutely necessary. Probably because they only had limited numbers of living troops. (They talked at one point several episodes earlier that they had very limited resources and troops.) I would also bet that raising troops up from the dead probably requires a great deal of power, and with only three Great Mothers most likely they couldn't handle too much. Anyways, I think that's why Thrawn didn't order the Great Mothers to use the undead earlier in the show: Limited power: limited resources; last desperate effort to escape.

I bet some of the same principles apply to why Thrawn didn't use more TIE fighters to take out Ahsoka in the last episode, namely limited resources. Having used six of them in that "asteroid" bone graveyard in an earlier episode was probably more taxing than was anticipated on his resources. Regardless, those two TIEs in the last episode for all intents and purposes basically did succeed! They did down the ship. Were it not for a lucky maneuver from Sabine that just happened to work, the heroes would have been sitting ducks to those fighters. It was something that should not have worked, and did so only against the odds. That Thrawn did not send even one TIE back to blast them from the skies (and instead opts for a ground assault) tells me he likely didn't have operational TIE fighters left. So, I think Thrawn's logic is fairly sound, overall: Use his limited resources sparingly but effectively.

Just about to finish up this episode. Just listened to the whole convo with Kyle. So great hearing his insights, as always! Congrats to him and his gang on the new book they just published! I bet it'll be a fun read. Looking forward to seeing who wins that free copy! 👍
