The RFR Early Bird is swooping in like the Millennium Falcon on The Kessel Run! 

Lucasfilm recently revealed Dave Filoni has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer. We break down the news and discuss the potential good, and the potential bad. Plus, we have highlights of Filoni discussing AHSOKA in a recent interview and we analyze all of his comments. The highly anticipated STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL documentary “A Disturbance In The Force” debuts on streaming outlets December 5th. We’re joined In The Cantina by director Jeremy Coon (“Napoleon Dynamite”) who shares interesting facts and trivia about the doc, along with RFR pal Kyle Newman, who served as a producer on the film, naturally.

I really enjoyed this week’s cantina interviews and I can’t wait to see the documentary. I don’t think it was answered completely, but my take away is that with the release of the film on 12/5, it will only be the digital release and physical copies will be mailed at a later date. Or is it that they didn’t anticipate the number of preorders that were made for the Blu-ray and those will essentially be on back order for some people? I’m wondering if those that ordered early will be getting there physical copies in the mail on or about the 5th, while others ordering later won’t receive them until the end of January (as per Amazon currently).

Very interesting discussion this week about Kathy - I think it’s time for her to step down since she seems to have a track record of a scapegoat. Why isn’t she accepting responsibility for it? It was nice hearing Dave talk about the show, and explain some of missing links, but what I found odd is that his goal was to get Ezra home, but no mention of setting up the future of the Mandoverse with the return of thrawn. Maybe he doesn’t think his movie will even be made!

Loved the RFR interview with Kyle and the director! I just pre-ordered the Blu-ray. I wonder if it will have any extras but I'll be glad to have the physical copy in any case. I had intended to see the doc at the Alamo Drafthouse in DC on Tuesday, but the showings that night are sold out. Should have acted sooner!

Great show guys. Loved the “In the Cantina” segment. Much like Kyle, I thought The Holiday Special was a fever dream too. Didn’t think it was real. Also, my Blu-Ray showed up today even thought it said I wasn’t getting it until 1/24. Can’t wait to watch!
