Chut Chut RFR Patreon community. Here’s a collection update. I’ve shifted my collection focus and am strictly collecting 1/6 scale figures. Most are Hot Toys, Sideshow, and several are custom that I put together. Unfortunately though the collection has to come down as we await the arrival of our first child. I will not stop collecting though and will hopefully soon have my own man cave to display it all again.

I’ve seen this one in person and it’s fantastic! Sometimes I wish my collecting went this way vs the 3.75 route!

Excellent display. I’m sure your child will be grateful both for your commitment to making space for them and also in the future when these gems get bought out to his or her amazement.

I haven’t regretted it but it does get expensive. I’ve enjoyed doing the custom figures more than buying the brand name figures. Some excellent custom companies out there making better stuff than hot toys and sideshow

But when they do come out once again and he goes in the room, all hands in pockets while inside lol

That’s a very nice focused collection! I agree with your reply below, I have seen some incredible looking custom figures of all kinds. I think my favorite in your collection is the ESB Luke on the antenna. The Mando diorama to the right of the Armorer is pretty awesome too.

Awesome collection! I only have a couple Sideshow figures in my collection. I love the concept Raiders art. Is that an original? I don’t remember seeing those for sale before but guessing I just missed it.

Andrew Saavedra

Thank you. No the Indy art is new, it’s from Regal Robot. They are metallic 3D prints. Good size too

Andrew Saavedra

Thank you. My main focus lately has been the Indy figures. It’s led me down a major rabbit hole

Turtle Wars

I know how that goes! I’m currently in a deep vintage metal lunch box rabbit hole. I’ve had near mint examples of all 4 of the vintage SW lunch boxes for 15+ years. Then sometime last year I decided there were around 40 others from 1952 - 1985 that I “needed” in my collection.

Who can you recommend for custom? I started as a somewhat ignorant TBS collector (spur of the moment purchase at target back around rogue one, didn't even realize TVC existed) before moving to both TBS and TVC and ended with TVC because I loved the card backs. But now I've switched to sixth scale because the size really lets me enjoy the figures and I have no guilt opening them up, which I always did with TBS and TVC. Thankfully I'll be able to display my collection in my home office/man cave without sacrificing room for kids (they have their own playroom) once I get around to spending all the money needed for proper display cabinets lol. Most of my collection is also boxed still

An excellent collection! A nice mix with the figs spaced out to get a real good look at each figure!

Just depends on what you’re looking to create. I’ve kitbashed figures from the Hasbro 12 inch line and find most of the items on eBay. I do have several friends through Facebook that create custom items. Just be aware that the custom aspect of collecting gets extremely expensive. For example my Bespin Han is made up of head sculpt on eBay, shirt from sideshow, jacket from sideshow, pants are sideshow luke on yavin, boots are hot toys, and belt is custom made from leather

Beautiful display! I am amazed by your Hot Toys collection, and custom pieces. As the father of a fifteen-year old, I can assure you that there definitely is collecting after kids! But also lulls. I was finally able to get back into my main collecting interest--vintage Kenner--after my daughter turned ten.

The good thing with sideshow is that most hot toys take forever to release so there’s time to save and payment plans are great

Finding mint OT lunchboxes is awesome! I see them but there are almost always damaged and/or have rust.

Turtle Wars

Yes, they are extremely difficult to find in pristine condition without scratches, chips, dents, or rust. I feel pretty lucky that all of mine are in near perfect shape.

I’ve told you this many times but I really love your collection, especially the focus on the 1/6 scale and the custom work you’ve done.
