Finally! An episode of Freaks that I can listen to (up until I hop on)! Great show guys! I haven’t been kicked in the crotch today, so I consider that a win.

So fun to listen to you guys! Enjoyed the conversation. The perfect thing to listen to while waiting for the After Show!

I love GL. But the dude leaned heavily on "Dune." Second movie is awesome by the way.

But most people tell me Star Wars was a total remake of "The Hidden Fortress". Or maybe it's a Space Western. Or isn't it an new take on "The Lensmen"? Or it's a commentary on the Vietnam War? Lucas was totally inspired by Samurai films, along with a huge Moebius inspiration. But wait, what about Joseph Campbell?

Touché, my friend. You are not incorrect. Here's a quote that I thought was interesting related to a YouTube video someone shot me recently: "Lucas has never admitted that they copied a lot of Dune, and I’m not saying they did,” Herbert said in 1985, during a speaking engagement at UCLA. “I’m just saying there are 16 points of identity between the book Dune and Star Wars. Now you’ve had stat — what is it? It’s 16 times 16 times 16 times… over 1, the odds against that being coincidence? There aren’t that many stars in the universe.”

I remember when Mr. T was on Games People Play before he was in The A-Team competing in a bouncer competition. One of the events was the "little person" toss. They also had to run through a bar obstacle course and crash through a door and ring a bell at the end. https://youtu.be/PgvRpnI20Iw?si=BBNPTg2TTJFufHph

Fun "hang" as always. I know Jimmy will hate this comment but I loved the sound effect from Barry's mic. It reminded me of the original Asteroids video game and seemed fitting for Barry. I could only hear the sound when using ear buds and it didn't take away my enjoyment of the discussion. So this isn't a complaint on the sound quality. Loved the show just like always.

Missed the opportunity to name this one…”crotch shot freaks” 😆. Enjoyable show guys.
