What's next for the Menagerie? (Patreon)

Hello all!

Since I've finished my Baked Goods! comic, I've spent a lot of time wondering what is next? What's the answer? Well... I'm not quite sure yet, but I'm ready to give you a peek.

First off, I've taken the opportunity to do some redesigning of the Menagerie. While I am largely quite happy with the color schemes I've chosen, I've come to the conclusion that the faces were all a bit samey. So far I've only redesigned Aubrey and Patience. For each I've given their faces more of a representative skull design. Apatosaurus has a different look than Iguanodon, than does Parasaurolophus , than does Deinonychus, etc.

So far, for both Patience and Aubrey i've created 3d sculpts of their faces, along with a simple rig in Blender to allow me to reposition their eyes. This will help me double check my sketches, and make sure I get things consistently correct. You'll see these in the sketches of the ref sheets.

Secondly, I decided that these changes needed a test picture, to see how they feel. So the first image that came to mind was of their aftercare. A image of the two of them cuddling, being sweet and tender with one another. I have ideas on how I want this image to proceed, as I want to try something new stylistically with them. We'll see how that goes, I haven't gotten that far yet, but the sketch feels great.
