Hey guys,

Here's House Party 0.6.5 Beta.  This is a huge bug fix update for the 0.6.5 series.  Most importantly, a lot of changes have come to the Save/Load game system, and it should be possible to save and load much more reliably.  This update is being released on all platforms simultaneously because there's nothing new here, it's just a lot of bug fixes to the core game based on feedback we've been getting from all the different player bases.

Mac users, please let me know if you have any issues running this version of the game.  I think we've successfully kinked out all of the OSX issues.

We are now shifting our attention fully to the 0.7.0 Alpha version coming exclusively to our Patreon Alpha testers which will include new content.

Here are a full list of the changes:

General Bug Fixes

Reworked some of the opening dialogues so the player can redeem himself in some cases

Added mouse sensitivity

Added inverted mouse y option

Fixed a bug where nudity censors don’t work after loading a saved game

Camera state now loads correctly from a saved game

Crouch state now loads correctly from a saved game

Photos taken with the camera now correctly save and load with games

Updated camera to be more responsive to user input (should alleviate motion sickness and jerkiness)

Stopped NPCs from socializing with each other when they are in a dialogue with the player

Worked on player input mechanics toward a smoother experience

Fixed a bunch of typos

Crouch now crouches lower.  You’re welcome, Stephanie.

Yes, this update is coming to all platforms because it is just bug fixes. 0.7.0 will be coming to Patreon first.

Eheheh crouch lower is great news. But there will be a monthly beta with new stuff like in the past? Usually the bug fixes were shortly after the beta release.

I just wanted to add a comment as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. The new sex animations are a lot worse than the same ones that were in 0.5.7 it seems like the motion of the player character is almost non existent and the girls barely move at all either. I don't know if this is only with my machine or what, but I run Windows 10 with an i5 and an Nvidia 670 if that helps.

Congrats on everything! Amazing game so far, and lots of good info about the future of its development. I would like to ask a question about the 070 release. Will there be a HPSC released with 070 Alpha, or will we have to wait for the 070 Beta before we can mod for it? I've been developing a few ideas using the 061 editor, but don't want to put any serious work into programming it until the better mechanics are introduced. Thanks again for all the awesome work.

I think this might be a "your machine" case. I am not seeing that here, and I haven't gotten other reports of it. We will take a look though.

The mass demand for the game made for a lot more feedback, which resulted in a lot more bug fixes, so this version stayed in beta a while longer. We have a working Alpha (0.7.0) coming soon.

The Story Creator has just been updated to include support for 0.6.5. You most likely won't see a 0.7.x story creator until after the 0.7.x series is complete or near complete, but 0.7.0 will play 0.6.x stories just fine, and will be easy to update to 0.7.0 using the import/export feature when SC 0.4.0 becomes available.

Thanks for the quick reply. If we can import 065 stories into 07x then that would be awesome. I'll start tinkering with the new SC tonight.

Sex animations for me are worse as well. I was writing it off as known issue and to be fixed later.

Turns out 0.6.3 also has these glitches on my machine. The animations in 0.6.1 all seem to work as intended. I posted on the official forums about this, but no one else has posted there about having the same problems, so now I'm worried the devs might not be able to recreate the glitch. I'm going to wait for the 0.7.0 release and see if the problem still occurs on my copy of the game.

Shes fairly easy; During the opening conversation use the option that say something about using the word "Need" wrong, then talk to Frank and then go back to her telling her that frank wants her, after that you can ask why shes checking her phone constantly and then its just to take it from there.

I think they should say at full game, patches I think are a waste of time they are ok for console an stuff. Full game downloads are fast so can't see were there's a problem.

Yes, but it will be a separate download. You won't get the Alpha through Steam.

I'm looking to have something shortly after the new month. We just had to divert our attention to the Steam issue, and it pulled us away from development, but we have a lot done toward 0.7.0 so it won't be much longer.

The story was changed a bit. We didn't want to give the player the same rewards for both story paths, so we changed the way to get that from Madison. We will be continually be adjusting and tweaking all of the stories as the game grows. Madison and Ashley's story will be getting a huge overhaul in time as they were written at a point in time where there was very little sexual content in the game.

It's possible to get the meter up all the way. You may be missing a step. You need to improve the love meter at all possible opportunities.

Stephanie's story was written at a time where there was no sexual content yet in the game so that's why her story ends so abruptly. Her storyline will be getting a big overhaul eventually opening up a lot more options with her character.
