House Party 0.7.0 (Alpha) (Patreon)

Hey guys!

This is the first installment of the 0.7.0 series.  Keep in mind that this version most heavily contains bug fixes and enhancements to the game, including new models, animations, visual effects, and gameplay.  Though there is *some* new story, there is not a lot.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be focusing on adding more story to the game.  We are also shifting to a two-week sprint format, so that means we will be aiming toward two releases per month, so from this point on, updates should come much more frequently.

Smoothed and tamed some conversation animations.

Fixed an issue where characters would talk to themselves when alone.

Removed quest “Talk to Madison”

Added many tips to help out with some quests

Allowed for continuous dialogues in most dialogue interactions

Improved sex mechanics

Sex now works anywhere (custom story creator)

Added cowgirl style sex

Players can no longer load Save Files from previous versions of the game

Mouse sensitivity slider has had its min/max threshold increased; general mouse feel improvements.

“Black screen”/game load failure tied to on-screen nudity and/or censor options has been fixed.

Slight adjustments to speaker volume level in the living room over the course of 0.6.5 to 0.6.6.

Saving a game during an intimacy scene then reloading that scene should no longer break the NPC or their interactions with other NPCs and quests. Instead the game should Load to the beginning of the intimacy scene.

Game state (tampered soda, etc.) of certain items is no longer lost upon Save/Load of game. Ongoing process but the functionality should be markedly improved.

Added more dance moves for Stephanie and other characters

Added motion blur

Enhanced post processing

Added several new animations

Added quest “Good Girls Gone Bad” (Partially complete)

Console Updates

Events on a timer now correctly save and load, and will be executed after a load.

Right now there is not an option as we added an entire post processing stack to speed things up. We will be adding in individual settings to turn on/off the effects in a later build.

Couldn't get the empty Vodka bottle off Frank to then give Katherine the water in this version. Not sure if that is intentional with the new quest?

Is there a reason to make a 32-bit Windows version anymore. Any computer made in the last 10 years can run 64 bit. Not a critic just trying to give you guys less work.

If it requires no extra work and the pipeline just pumps it out then not an issue... if it requires extra work, which can be detrimental to the normal version, then I agree DUMP IT!

In that case, I feel sorry for the people that try to play the game with a 4GB Memory cap your GFX card would throw off the whole system

We actually do get a number of people requesting the game on a 32 bit OS. It isn't any extra work to build for it.

So i dont know if it's just me who has this problem, but none of the sex animation actually works, after plenty of tries the only thing that is happening is the MC lying on topp doing nothing.

I'm having trouble with sex animations, the models go to the position but they don't move, and after I change to cowgirl I can't change to another, the normal "chat" appears.

Well, that's good that you don't have to do more. Now I'm tempted to see how it Handles The Memory limitations that come with 32bit arch.

Anyone else have an issue when loading a save point from between when Vicki arrives and talking to her the first time and she's disappeared?

Check to make sure the game can reach the server. It sounds like you have either a firewall or antivirus software blocking it from downloading the latest story.

The guides don't come out until after the last beta version for the series. So depending on how many revisions 0.7 will go through it could be after 0.7.6 or so. When the game is running stable and all of the new content has been de-bugged and the game has been regression tested.

There is a bug when u use the ride option in sex, after u do that u can't change positions again.

My feedback includes pros cons and my opinion so far. Pros = adding option to control speed with bj, the amazing graphics implemented in Vickie, Derrick as an Assist, making it so ppl only react to a persons nudity once. Cons = some of the characters will start walking in circles in random locations until you move them. No brightness settings. Graphics on Stephanie dress come and go while she dances also when main character crouches his legs go through the ground and the graphics on some the characters hair go through their body at moments at well. Opinion = itd be great if the sperm graphics stayed and an option was added to clean up the place or girls somehow (like having the girl go shower if u rub one off on them) and an option to choose where you blow off a load at. (Inside them, out).

Ashley ran to the first bathroom and got angry, then acted as if she was in the spare room again. No characters reacted to her and she didn't go to any other bathrooms. Madison didn't recognize that she was nude.

Losing the cursor. Doesn't show up and doesn't label objects. It disappeared after 30 min of play. Can't interact with Katherine during the cell phone jamming sequence when the jammer is switched off. Can still interact with other characters though.

I am getting a similar issue on my mac it loads but it just freezes on the opening of the story. Can't move or even get off the new speak bubble

Oh, that makes sense about the cursor disappearing. Thanks. It doesn't explain Katherine though, so that may still be an issue.

I had the same issue, the way i fixed was to save/reload then talk to Kat again, then talk to Frank.

Katherine didn't have the option to choose another position from cowgirl. Once in cowgirl, she has to stay in cowgirl. Rachel works perfectly though.

When I sit on the sofa near Stephanie, I can't turn my head to the left to watch her dance, and the POV just tilts 45 degrees to the right.

Minor bug: If you hit ctrl, then move the coffee kettle, then hit ctrl again to remove the hand (while moving the kettle) physics seems to stop working on the kettle itself. Happened by accident the first time, but I'm able to reproduce the bug.

Yeah, man. That's happened to me the last like 3 versions of the game. I reached out for help and he assisted me right away with it. Can't remember what he said now. I'll have to rifle thru my emails.

Soooo I noticed some dialog changed a bit. I like the Derek add and I hope you guys will continue to use him to help on this adventure. BUT. Did you get in trouble over the dialog when you make Madison strip and take your short sword out and when she says, "What are you going to with that?" Your character responses became very PC all of a sudden...What's that about?

We didn't "get in trouble" for any of the content in this game. The game will change over time. We are working on turning Madison's blackmail quest into more of a revenge thing on Ashley's behalf to tie into the rest of the story well, and we are wanting to offer different endings depending on the player's choices. The story will continue to change over time with what we deem the best place, and as we have more content to offer, it will be moved around to different places in the game.

The custom story is already capable of doing a lot with 0.7.0. If you copy the format with the other characters, you can get it to work with the new ones. We won't have an official release on the CSC until after beta, because too much changes in the alpha versions to warrant putting a new one out.

I enjoyed the blackmail quest personally and i cannot speak for everyone but i do hope it stays and is expanded even if not with the same character.

I was looking at the game on steam and was thinking do i have to pay for the game there to after paying 15 as a Patreon? I want the steam copy to cuz of the auto updates. So i guss i am asking those of us that are paying to be Patreons do we get the have the steam copy for free or do we just get our copy throw the links you give out?

i cant play. Everytime i try to start i get this unzip Error. The Firewall and my anti virus program dont block the game but still this Error.

We will not be removing the blackmail quest, we are just changing the way it is initiated, the story surrounding it, and the endings associated with it. As new content gets added, sometimes it just gets appended to a quest because it's a place to put it, but as we are opening up more gameplay options and we write new stories, we are looking into placing content more appropriately so everything in the game can co-exist in a way that makes sense.

We generally won't release untested versions to major distribution platforms like Steam. Patreon offers a way for people to get in on the builds that we are in the process of play-testing as new content gets added to the game. Eventually, all of the updates that are released here will make it to Steam, but only after it's been tested by the Alpha and Beta tester supporters.

Check permissions. If the game doesn't have access to write to "MyDocuments", it can also fail to unzip the stories. If you are getting the "Failed to unzip" error rather than the "failed to download", this is probably more likely the case. You can try running the game as Administrator, or setting the "Eek!" folder in MyDocuments to have read/write access.

try it but still get the error. Running the game as Administrator dosent work. I have try multiple things with the Eek folder but its still not woking.

When you ask for Vickie's number from Madison, untie Ashley's top. Get the number. After giving Patrick's phone to Katherine, just send to the second option, Vickie's number, instead of Rachael.

I know I'm just one opinion out of many, and I could very well be in the minority here, but after waiting nearly 4 months for additional content - this was a huge disappointment for me. I do understand that behind the scenes, there was a lot going on but new dialog / quests was consumed in less than 10 minutes and the sex animations are still clunky and unnatural on my end. The motion blur effect also deters from the gameplay experience (I would understand the effect if my character was wasted). But I'm not going to be all negative here, as I think the update to Interact/Give is a vast improvement and the additional characters and sex position give hope for the future. But all in all, I really hope this is not a sign of things to come. I'd really hate to feel I should just check in quarterly and do a one month Beta Test.

I'm not sure if you've been around for other Alpha releases, but usually the first Alpha we put out includes a lot of bug fixes, and new mechanics, and the follow-up is mostly a story update. We do this on purpose because story bugs are usually easy to squash, but actual code updates can be more problematic. This gives us time to work on stabilizing the new systems while at the same time putting out some new story. TLDR: much more story content coming in the next alpha version. There could be two or three alpha releases before it goes to beta.

I got on board in February. Seemed to me back then that you were kicking out a monthly update that was significantly better than the last until May... then things seemed to get complicated with Steam, expanding team, etc. Not saying I'm giving up, just giving my feedback. As someone who runs a business of my own, I know that even the negative feedback helps.

I think you'll find that once the dust settles and we get this new team working well together and most of my time gets put back on to writing new content, you will see the same time of progress. The difficult thing is that everybody wants new content content content, but there are a lot of areas of the game play that need to be improved. Now that I have a graphic designer on board, there are going to be more updates revolving around revamping older systems, but that doesn't mean new content won't be introduced either.
