Hey guys!

Here's House Party 0.8.2 Beta with a long list of updates!  Major updates to the look and feel of the game, and a lot of polish coming your way in this build!

We regret to inform that we are not going to be releasing Date Night With Brittney with this build, so it will be unavailable this time around in Beta.  We are re-working and revamping the story, getting translations done, and commissioning voice acting still, and it's just really in no shape yet to open it up for Beta testing, so Date Night will stay in Alpha for now with plans to include it in next month's Beta and Public releases.

That being said, for those of you Beta testers just getting your hands on the 0.8.x series, there are a lot of new Amy updates, and maybe Brittney will get involved in some of the hi-jinks!  Everything is now voice acted, and we fixed a LOT of bugs and added a lot of polish.  Next week will be public release, and early next month we are looking to have the new Alpha version of Date Night With Brittney, as well as the continuation of Amy's story!

P.S.  Walk through coming soon as well as a new Custom Story Creator.

Fixed “Initializing…” message on the main menu never going away

Fixed an issue with a save game error

Fixed an issue where Patrick stops roaming after he sobers up

Fixed an issue with Frank not walking back to his chair after some interactions

Fixed an issue where getting knocked out with the radial menu open breaks the game

Re-worked audio/music sliders

Fixed lip syncing so that it works well regardless of the audio slider setting

Fixed an issue with the liquor cabinet not opening sometimes

Smoothed mouse movement and fixed issues with frame drops

Fixed an issue with the dialogue closing when asking Derek where to find a bottle of water

Aligned cunnilingus better

You can no longer ask Madison about Brittney after she leaves the study

There 4 things I want to point 1. When you cum on Patrick or if he sees you jack off, he has the same lines even after you sober him up, I think he should start hatting you when he's not drunk and you Cum on him. 2. Staffanie has the same when you're drunk and when she sees you jack off. 3. Katherine still says let's go use the laptop in the spare room and she should say study. 4. When Rachel says how did you get invited to the party the answer should be Derek invited me. 5. Can you please make it that when you tell Madison that Patrick is putting shit down his pant she beats him up. Thank you these are just a few ideas, I'll come back when I think of more😊

Having issues when you get Patrick and Derek to fight Frank. No ones moves after they both agree to fight him.

Near the hot tub, there should be a pile of dirt. In this case, you have to set up the speaker outside where that dirt is. To do it, you need a broom, which there is one located in the closet with the rocking chair aka the empty room. Then grab the broom and speaker. Keep the speaker in the living room on or else she won't go outside. Then go to that pile of dirt, use the broom on the dirt, use the speaker on the broom and it should set up on top of the broom. Then turn that speaker on, go talk to Stephanie, a text should now pop up saying that the music is outside now. Click that and she should go outside. Then since Brittany likes watching her dance, she'll follow her outside where you can ask Brittany about getting in the hot tub and she'll agree. Then find amy, tell her that Brittany is in the tub and she'll go take the pic :)

After getting the Flag item on the Scavenger Hunt for Amy, it no longer progress, it'll just restart the quest.

MAJOR BUG: The pathfinding AI took a massive shit in this update. When you tell frank to beat up patrick, he doesn't walk to him, he just walks in his direction. To explain it, if there is a wall or any item of furniture between patrick and frank, frank will just walk into it instead of around the obstacles to get to him. If patrick is upstairs, he will stand underneath where he is. Even if frank does manage to catch him, patrick will sometimes not even fight and drunkenly walk away as frank continues to punch in the direction he was just standing.

I have noticed this too, but it's not only frank, it's everybody.

Every time i get Amy to take a picture of Brittney in the tub, and I ask her for the next item on the list she asks for the creditcard again. I hope it will get fixed soon 😅

Can't get this version to run at all. Tried reinstalling but it didn't work. I play other games that are a lot heavier on performance that play smoothly, but i simply can't get this version to run smoothly if it even loads. It freezes most of the time. No idea :(

When i try and get Derek and Patrick to beat up Frank they just freeze and can no longer be interacted with. Also the characters movement is bad, they seem to have trouble getting down the stairs or entering the hot tub, they end up walking in circles.

I can't get the game to start, it freezes during the loading screen.

PC x64. For me, Frank's nav is pretty much, if not completely, broken. If Patrick is in the gazebo when Frank goes after him, Frank endlessly tries walking through the kitchen sink. Likewise, if Patrick is in the Stephanie room, Frank endlessly tries to walk through the kitchen table. And if Patrick is upstairs, I'm guessing in the bedroom, Frank endlessly tries walking into the wall that bears the stairway. I had to get Frank to find Patrick out by the fire pit to advance this bit of the story. Pretty shaky, if you ask me. Do you have automated regression tests of any sort? (I'm not a Unity dev, so I don't know what's available in this regard.)

Cant do a few events due to pathing lock ups frank getting stuck and the fight with frank they just stare at the walls. I hope we don't have to wait a full month + to get a working version. Much better lighting this patch though
