SpaceShipping "Night" + commentary (Patreon)

This is one I've been wanting to do for a long time, and a fairly direct followup to the events of "Lunch". I'm going for a very dorky slow burn for the romance between these characters because as you might guess it is the space ship (hur hur) of the story. Because it's a future setting as well as a sex comedy we'll see Teri flirting and getting into situations with other characters, perhaps driving some conflict (although I hate jealousy as a plot device) but because SpaceShipping is both a futuristic setting and a sex comedy the parties involved will be cool with it. I think that ethical sluttiness will be a fixture of the story if not the setting itself, but Teri & Spider is destined to be the OTP if you catch my meaning.This strip was also an opportunity to relate a lot of lore about both characters in very few pages. We learn things about how Teri functions, and get a little peek into Nahid's traumatic past. There were some puzzled remarks I read about how I have a sci-fi setting with androids and space ships but no new legs for Nahid - and beyond some of those commenters just not reading the rest of the story that is a deliberate. I consulted with a couple of real amputees about their experiences and desires for representation and what I want to get across in the story is that even  highly sophisticated medical technology is not a magical fix-all. Nahid's bionic legs are a marvel, but they have quirks and inconveniences and at the end of the day she's still disabled. And that's not even getting into the invisible effects she struggles with that will appear as the story goes on. I'm very excited to ship these two. In space!
