Hehe, I became a patron after starting the comic today & becoming invested in Arh & Liz. Can confirm I like this page & it was worth pledgin' for! (n //u/n)

I am and have been curious about something, wondering if I missed an aspect of the world or if its just for the purposes of the storyline and getting her into a contract with Omar. What is so wrong with the heated blanket solution? I get they are not as elaborate and nice but they would provide the warmth, especially a pair of them, while I would assume being far more cost affordable. Then down the line Arh can upgrade to the nicer appliance solution.

it'd be a very patchy solution. Similar to owning a real reptile pet, it can result in burns and/or be a fire hazard. They're cheaper, sure, but not fully inexpensive and there *are* drawbacks.
