Hey everybody!

I'm struggling to make this post, but you are really like a distant fam to me and after the amazing messages and all the support you gave me in the past months, I feel it's only fair to continue and update you.

*trigger warnings, all kinda. you don't need to read this, only if you wish to know what is happening and why I'm kinda distant and not working and creating as much as I used to*

You know I became the caretaker of both of my parents recently since my father needed just as much caretaking after losing his 2 most beloved sons as my mom with her illnesses. I was full of hope, and I believe, or I want to believe for my mental healths sake, that I did everything I could for him. But it wasn't enough. The pain of loosing your children in such a meaningless and unexplained way couldn't be washed away or fixed. His heart broke and he joined my big brothers. He lived a beautiful, healthy life, longer than most could dream of. He was a soldier, a policeman, a former captain of the French Foreign Legion, and so much more. I am so proud of him and he was such an inspiration for me!
I am not religious but I can only hope they are together in some way - in soul, or the fabric of the universe, or on the other side of the simulation. I know wherever he is he is loved and not alone.

*end of trigger warning, kinda casual and not going into details from down here*

Grief is a bitch, but I am holding on. Luckily, Baldur's Gate just came out recently and it surely helps me calm my mind from time to time. I'm sure I will come back to creating more soon, cause now I got the insipration to create some DnD related art too. Of course I will make a portrait of my MC, she is badass and I love the chaotic good RP!

One thing I'm not sure of, and it's the future of the next Andernya Project book. I can't really say this without possible spoilers: there is a plot-twist I wanted to reveal in the next book and it's so extremely similar to what happened to my family this summer like a fucking premoniton, so I'm not sure how I'll be able to write that part. Maybe grief will be my inspiration, maybe it will allow me to write an even more insightful plot, but maybe it will go the other way. Only time will tell. But the project WILL continue, but maybe in a different way, maybe with more art and less written stuff, or I'll simply change some things.

Thank you so much for reading this sad shit again - I hope this is the last time for a long while when I had to write something like this. Thank you for sticking with me and having my back in the past 2 months or so! I really can't express how much it means to me and from how much anxiety and panic your support saved me from. I'm always super anxious about my art and my future as an artist, and there was a point when I feared this will be the end - but you guys all proved my wrong and shown me once again that humanity and love are still existing in this world ♥

I’m truly sorry, Abi, for everything you’ve been through/are still going through. There’s no pressure at all for you to force yourself to create at the moment, but know that your art is so inspiring to all of us. Not only that, but your strength of character and resilience has been so inspiring to me. I know we all have our difficult times, but you sharing your story (again, no pressure to share, but glad you feel safe to do so) means a lot. I cannot wait to see what you do next. I’m always looking forward to the next project. Your MC from BG3 sounds great, by the way! And the spoilery hint has only piqued my interest… 😊 At some point in the next few months, I can’t wait to put forward a commission for a scene between 2 characters of my own. I know I’ve hinted at it before but I didn’t want to inundate you with things that can wait. Please know that we’re here for you and that there’s no pressure for you to move at any pace but your own 💛
