Did you notice that Tom had been absent from social media, castings, etc., for about a year? Well, in reality, he had been absent from life itself. Turns out, he wasn’t in the best mental state, and he voluntarily checked himself in to rest and recover from a couple of stressful years. A few months later, the institution arranged for his transfer to another facility that was better equipped to care for him. The official story says he discharged himself and left for an unknown destination to "find himself," but in reality, Tom has been at Eichen House for almost two years. It was tough at first, but now he’s quite settled in, even accepting and enjoying the attention from both the staff and external visitors.
