All you’ve ever known is the land where your father and his father before him grew up. Since childhood, you’ve learned to wander the forest, recognize tracks and patterns, find water, and avoid dangers. Now that you’re old enough, your father has given you an important task: never look inside the canvas bag. No matter how much it writhes or screams, your only job is to carry it from the forest’s edge to the sawmill by the lake. They’ll take care of it there.
