Well good afternoon my dears! Ever have one of those days where you just feel all sorts of out of it? Maybe you're feeling that ambition to do many things or just a few big things...and it kind of just falls away from you. Head might feel clouded, or your arms may feel weak. Times like this I find it really helpful to excuse yourself from the computer or the phone for a little. Just a little.

Maybe go out and take a deep breath of some air and just close your eyes for a moment. I also find it a bit healthy if you're an artist, to just sketch out some complete nonsense. Even if it's just patterns or wavey lines. Some days we really just don't feel it. We don't feel the magic, and sometimes we're nearly there because our hearts are revving our engines, but the accelerator just isn't clicking. So sometimes we just need to give ourselves a little break. Cut some slack and get a little goofy.

I'm the kind of person where if I'm taking the time and trying to relax, my heart rate goes straight through the roof. More than anything I love to share with others, and I love to make a point with the work I do. It's a habit to make excuses for stressing myself out.  But I also know it's not healthy to stress myself over each and every step of the way. After all, I'm only human, and priorities aside, there is always some leeway, some little inch of personal space for happiness to be taken. So if you're the kind of person who isn't feeling it working on art, or music, or writing..take a moment for yourself and get silly with it. You'd be surprised how nice it is when you're doing anything just for the heck of it.

If you want to see a larger version of the sketches, feel free to download them!

We all like to pretend that making art isn't work. It's a job that can be thankless and be an drain to our mental vigor. There are times when you don't know what can restore that artist ardor. Honestly, my cup of coffee for my creativity are my loved ones. Just having my girlfriend or my brother in my office while I work, gives a huge boon to my productivity. Try drawing with some one in the room with you, and just keep light chatter. Works wonders! Also take time for yourself! I feel like you have been doing a patreon update every day. Take a weekend off man!
