That's exactly it. Desperate loneliness coupled with the feel-good nature of pleasure. It's like eating fast food instead of a home cooked meal. You lose sight of things when you're constantly on the go. I think a lot of people think sex specifically is love. I mean, it's a part of love, but that love part tends to get lost as collateral. He has a bit to go, trying to understand that.
