The video went out of sync with the subtitles, and began showing up long before any of the dialogue occurred. So they were there just not in the correct places.

Okay, not to sound like some delulu shipper but HYYH JiHope has always felt like a romantic pair to me. Like in the story. All the pairs have meaningful relationships but HYYH JiHope's felt more intimate...idk how to explain it. But Begins = Youth has just served to convince me more that that's actually going to be part of the plot. haha. Like from the moment Mrs, Kim met Haru and then turned to Hosu like "ooh, he's cute!"...and the hand-on-thigh moment in this episode with the awkward "sorry" after, before a reassurance from Hosu that it was okay? It reads very k-drama. And it just builds from here in the series. And then I found out that both the actors who play Hosu and Haru are BL k-drama actors...that casting is intentional, I know it. haha. Anyway, again, not a real life JiHope shipper or anything but I'm definitely a Hosu/Haru (HYYH JiHope) shipper. Those characters are in love, I'd bet my house on it. SO CUTE!!

I agree that there is a lot of subtext with Haru and Hosu’s relationship. Another reactor who didn’t know BTS reacted to this show and thought right away that Haru’s “secret” that his mom told him not to tell anyone was that he was gay. The Hosu actor wasn’t in a BL until after this show though, so probably not intentional in the casting choice. I don’t think Haru’s actor has been in a BL, I might be wrong though. They honestly just look A LOT like Hobi and Jimin, and the Hosu’s actor has Hobi’s mannerisms down to a tea!

I don't watch k-dramas (the exception literally being this one), so I'm honestly just basing my information on a thread I saw on twitter (probably not the best idea, I guess, haha). But it had clips of both of them in bl relationships so I thought it looked legit. I didn't know Hosu's was after this. That's a little bit of a hole poked in my theory. But I still stand by it overall! haha.

Love your reactions. I agree with you about the adults in these characters lives. And how relatable it is to real life. On another note, I think I was more than half way through when I realized that you were drinking tea from the cup I sent you. 🤭

Without spoiling anything, the situation with Haru's memories is SO MUCH WORSE than anything I could have imagined. It doesn't become clear until almost the end of the series, but it's unimaginable. Be prepared, I think it's the next episode that is absolutely heart-wrenching. Things get much more difficult from here, as one would imagine from both the storyline and how K-dramas are.

I am really impressed with these young actors. Although I have enjoyed a lot of other dramas as well where the acting is top notch. I guess I just thought this was a simpler production seeing how it did not make a bigger streaming platform. I love how they are adding to the story. Haru and Jeha were great this episode.

I think when it rebuffered it through the subtitles out of sync. Because if you look at the subtitles when he's in the office and the tests are on the desk there are subtitles going but no sound, and then it cuts to the dad in the room and you hear I think maybe the dads name which matched to one of the subtitles that had just happened. Without knowing the story I'm still so confused, but I do feel like this episode I can tell apart which characters are supposed to be which member (character). The Jimin and JK characters killed me this episode. Even though I don't fully understand what is going on the emotion of what was happen in the moment was so sad. Also, screw all of these characters except the Hobi character's caregiver/mom figure from the second episode. She seems to be the only adult that doesn't suck.

I think Haru really has repressed his memory but it’s slowly coming back. This is such a great drama and the actors are amazing! I was put off at first by the actor who plays Tae but I’m starting to see the storyline character come through
