Beautiful and hopeful scene here. Makes me love these boys all the more and that they get a happily ever after, for everyone. I can also probably see the problem between Esme and Agni. Esme is probably going to feel that after his exciting adventure as a fearless hero straight out of a Fairy Tale that he doesn't need Agni. Esme claimed that he now feels 'light' and unburdened and feels an all consuming love for Atlas. He might resent his 'weaker' emotions as having unduly burdened him over his life and that if he had been more like this, dauntless. That all of the bad or negative things that happened in his life could have been solved. I feel, or at least hope that Esme realizes that he needs to embrace the totality of himself and that his 'weaker'/'negative' emotions aren't curses to be shed but integral parts of himself that need to be embraced and deepen his humanity and empathy towards others. .....Also I see this as a path towards Atlas, Esme and Rapunzel being a couple. Dx As always Rip, this is absolutely phenomenal story telling and character crafting and this has pretty much cemented itself as my favorite webcomic.
