I had forgotten how much info this series throws at you in just the first episode xD Real quick I wanted to add a few fun facts and clarifications – The name for the mechs in this series is a play on words for “nightmare” and a “knight's mare”. Which I think fits really well with the themes of conquests and honor present throughout this series. Lancelot is a very special knightmare as it the prototype for the 7th generation of knghtmare frames. This prototype was built by the Advanced Special Envoy Engineering Corps (ASEEC) which is a Research and Development team. In episode 2 Clovis implies that it’s not part of his team but part of one of his older brother's team. Since the ASEEC wants combat data to help them improve/finish/test Lancelot, and because they have less constrains on how they get to operate; they are able to get Suzaku as a pilot even though that is not normally permitted. They also specifically want Suzaku as a pilot because he happens to be exceptionally gifted and can get them lots of good data. During the fight at the end of episode 5, Kewell mentions MVS and that "they have been put into use". MVS is short for Maser Vibration Sword and per the wiki it works like this - "...uses a combination of extremely high oscillation rates and temperatures in order to increase the cutting effectiveness of the weapon" Also, I don’t think that the anime has already mentioned this, but its kind of important so I'll mention it real quick. Most knigtmare frames (and a lot of other things in the Code Geass universe) use a fictional material called Sakuradite which is basically a mineral that has superconductive and radioactive properties. (The cube they show when the Lancelot powers up is made out of this material). Japan also happens to have a huge amount of it.

Looking forward to the continuation, definitely a nostalgia trip, it's a great show, you won't be disappointed!
