I was bummed they just sorta skipped out on the endgame of the event but they did need to make room for the cute character development stuff to set up season two. Plus once the Seven Fold [Atrocity] was unleashed it was beat-down wonderland till all that remained was Maple and the bones of the earth anyway. Still, with that and how compressed the fight with Pain came across I think this shoulda been two episodes. Not having my weekly dose of Maple shenanigans is going to be rough, hurry up second season!

Yea it would have been nice if it was maybe 13 episode that way we could have explored the event and the fight with Payne more. But season two has been announced so can't wait for that!

I’m fine with it. Main characters we wanted to win won and there wasn’t any drama. To much crap going on right now in the real world. Some innocent feel good anime is a good thing. I liked it :3

I can see an arguement for some pacing issues on Payne versus Maple. As a longtime rpg/MMO player though I might have a couple points about that though. First this game is clearly broken and unbalanced, MMOs in every case can have say mega OP skills/spells/armor/weapons and a players ability at playing said game can affect things but having say a one shot skill like Atrocity seems to be is unlikely. That being said it's never been fleshed out if this game they play has PVE versus PVP rules, I say that because in many MMO a top teir PvP geared player can get wrecked all over the game by a max geared PvE players gear and weapons. Many imes certain skills or spells are cancelled or ineffective in PvP scenrios as well. I'd assume the Orb event was a big battleground basically so if anything it's the devs fault for letting players just do whatever they want in the event like Atrocity that has 1 hit and auto healing I guess, not to mention "oh we can just make 7 Atrocity, that's normal" lol The game is clearly full of bugs and broken mechanics. It's great for say a feel good comedy anime and I want to see Maple get 4-7 more forms in Season 2 sure, but the game is ridiculously impossible on a balance level lol
