The church hunts anything with the Taboo skill, they support the Hero, and that an intelligent monster would be incredibly dangerous, although that last one is pretty obvious to us.

After this episode I have a solid theory,Clearly she's picking all the skill options because as she says "they sound cool" or "that'll help right now" but we now know any taboo skill is something the holy church deems evil, generally the holy churches in iseki direct the heroes to the demon lord and the spider is clearly focusing on that path. That being said we've all wondered about the evil looking lady in the opening chomping the world and fluids running down her, pretty sure that's poison, I think the demon lady is wearing white black and maybe pink? So is that the spiders final form,a humanoid demon lord? Could be totally wrong but all the demonlord talk instantly made me think of the opening scene.

Sadly the anime was less blatant about the Madoka Magica gag, since in the LN they specifically described Kyubey, and how "I'd accept. I'd take care of the entity immediately after that, though", which is extra hilarious since Y. Aoi also voices Madoka
