something tragic they left out of this episode is that Rimuru sat next to Shion's body for three days searching for magic to help. That is how the adventurer trio got there from Blumund while Rimuru was still next to the bodies.

I had the same reaction to things revealed in this episode, I hate the fact i'm on the older end of the spectrum of anime watchers compared to some and at times random episodes of what could be mostly labeled as a silly show actually effect me more sometimes then even real life stuff does lol I'm not sure what that says about me tbh. That aside though I commend often writers of some of these shows how they can make an on the surface fluffy friendly story radically get dark and real with no warning even as a writer myself I at times struggle with up and down arcs in stories. I give the last couple episodes all the praise for getting as deep as it has.

Milim and Shion being such a focus in the OP finally makes sense. But I can't help but think of what Ramiris said about how she "fell from grace" to become a demon lord.

That's Adult!Ramiris, as can be seen from her larger chest size, vs her kiddie size
