Keep in mind, its not a season 2 this summer, its just the 2nd cour of season one. Season one is 23 episodes, the title card at the end is just translated wrong, people who know Japanese are saying it should be saying 2nd part, not 2nd season.

Funimation fucking shit up yet again... Also yeah, the AUTHOR, the Studio & the Committee have been using 2nd Cour (koru or w/e it's in romanized Kanji), and the endcard itself used the same word as well, as far as I could see

I'd like to share a bit from the light novel about their time in Rikarisu that the anime chose to skip over. I understand the decision because some things need to be cut for the sake of pacing but this one I feel is important for Ruijerd's development. There is a possibility they could address some of this later with a flashback, but I doubt it. During the several weeks they spent in the city, the two Rudy recruited (Jalil and Vizquel) were doing those F-rank jobs thoroughly and cheerfully while claiming to be part of the Dead End party. They were getting some of the money from the higher-paying jobs while doing safer jobs in town, so it worked out well for them, too. When Nokopara confronts them, Rudy demands proof so Nokopara leads the group to one of the homes that was the location of a job that the Dead End party completed. He tries to get the old woman to confirm that it had been Jalil and Vizquel who had actually done the work, telling her she got scammed. She ends up getting pissed at him because those two had gone beyond the job's requirements to help her out, even saying, "So long as you do the job quick and proper, I couldn't care less if you're the real Dead End." Although that lead turned out to be a bust for him, Nokopara does end up forcing them into a position like in the anime where there was no good way to avoid his blackmailing, partially because Kurt readily confirmed that it had been Rudy's group that saved them in the forest. As Rudy is getting ready to leave and catch up with Ruijerd, he tells Kurt to pay them back for saving their lives by spreading around that Ruijerd is a good guy. The biggest thing about this difference is Ruijerd's perception of Jalil and Vizquel. These were two he had determined to be 'villains' and wouldn't have had a second thought about killing them. But here they are, working hard to rebuild the Superd's reputation, not just because of Rudy's scheme, and because they're scared of Ruijerd killing them - they are happy to be contributing to their community with these low-rank adventurer jobs that nobody wants because it's so hard to make a living wage off of them. That's one of the things that helps Ruijerd see that people aren't as black or white as he believed.
