Basically yes. He continued to posses his descendants for 400 years for 11 generations (400 years ago he was Roswaal A. Mathers, in Betty's memory, the next was Roswaal B. Mathers and the current one is Roswaal L. Mathers so I assume there were C. - K. between them ). Whether or not he specifically conceived the child himself every single time or simply looked for the most compatible in the descendant of each generation (including his "own" child), I don't know.

I've had the issue about Rem as well but assume the season 3 beginning or minimum first half would be killing 1 or both the witch disciples that caused her situation, now the more important issue is do we have to wait 4 years for season 3, season 1 in 2016 and 2 in 2020/2021. I have issues with this being this may be my top anime series at least top 3 and I'd rather not go "is the next season coming?" every year like last time but they did nail this season for sure.
