I don't know what the popular opinion on this season is, and I may be in the minority, but I did not care for this season. The animation wasn't as good overall. It was a different studio, so I'm willing it to cut it some slack but still. The VAs are still great, although Chiho's sounds a little off, but that's 9 years apart so can't be helped. The action scenes were all lacking. I know that's partially due to the animation again, but also direction. And I think the biggest problem is Maou feels tacked on to most of the events. Like he's just being dragged along and doesn't really get his moments to shine like he did in the first season. Maybe it's just me, but I do not think this was worth waiting 9 years for. If there is another season coming, hopefully it's better.

Yes, this season was not good. If not for Alas Ramus and the mistey of Emi's mother this season would be boring. Season 3 is confirmed, hope it will be better.
