It's so hard to see our boy go through this. You get the feeling this is something that's been bubbling beneath the surface for a long while. And yeah you're right, it hits even harder knowing that we've never seen him breakdown like this before. We saw him upset at Walter Park, but this level of despair is literally out of character for him. It's rough. Bonus genius points for having the big shadow monster say "please!" after nothing but jokes about him being unable to say no for two and a half seasons. Really makes it ouchie in retrospect. It's interesting you say that he looks a bit like he's in his evil cycle at the end because I never really put that together, but you're totally right and that makes perfect sense. I feel like Ali's evil cycle spell was a great way to nudge Iruma toward his natural charisma and leadership, but after his growth at Walter Park and now here at the Harvest Festival, would he really even need that kind of push anymore? Anyway, they nailed this episode and I'm so happy! It's a VERY good tone setter for the rest of the Harvest Festival. Super excited for next week! And yes, Merry Christmas to you as well!
