Super late but finally got a chance to watch! I’m so very happy we got an immediate S2 announcement. Seeing the next batch of girls teased was a lot more hype than I expected, but just having an idea of what all the next season will cover, I’m extremely excited for it. It really does all feel like a prologue to get to Kusuri’s drugs and Hahari’s sugar mama cash lmao. This was a great finale. The whole peeping on Rentaro sequence is so good, I remember that being one of the first moments in the manga to make me actually laugh out loud. Kusuri’s fucking ghost face in the window cracks me up. And I love that in the end, Karane once again proves she is the most honest person on the planet when she admits to the peeping. I mentioned a lot how I think the way the author goes about setting up all the pieces for the story to be quite clever, and that’s definitely true with the way Rentaro’s defining first emotional beat with Hahari is just “yeah of course you can love more than one person, that’s the whole point of this thing.” I think I just have a big soft spot for wacky/cartoony comedies that are able to establish this sense of earnest consistency and worldbuilding. Iruma is good about that too. I just think it’s impressive. S2 as early as spring would be a dream (there was a rumor for a loooong time that it was going to be two cour) but I don’t know if that’s the route they’ll take just yet. Either way, can’t wait!
