I cracked up when the reaction had just started and you were shaking your head at Shin! xD Thank you for the reaction! It has been a hell of a journey and I enjoyed every minute of it with you :D For anyone interested, here are a few fun facts and extra info - Between episode 21 and 22 there was a very very long delay due to production issues. Episode 21 aired on December 26, 202, and episode 22 aired on March 12, 2022. So yeah we had to wait a very long time after the episode 21 cliffhanger xD Some people have said that there were 86 days of delay (which would be very poetic) but by my count it is closer to 76 days. The red flowers that show up throughout the series are red spider lilies (also know as Lycoris) and are often associated with death, and sometimes used during funerals. The blue “flowers” that were on top of the lilies were Eintagsfliege (the legion units that are usually flying and block communications) During these episodes where our squad was chasing the morpho, they chased it for so long that they ended up back in Republic territory which is why Lena was around/nearby ish. When Lena gets invited to the Federacy in episode 22 and she is checking the clipboard with the names, a lot of names are blacked out even though this is the unit she was being set up to lead. The reason for why they were blacked out was because they wanted to do the surprise at the end of the episode, so they did not want to reveal to Lena that the squad was still alive. Baleyg is another name for Odin in Norse mythology, but I honestly do not know why the legion calls Shin that. If someone knows why, and is not a spoiler, then please do let me know :) ## As I’ve been doing on all previous reactions to this series, I went ahead and uploaded the morpho schematics and added a little bit of extra info about what the “wings” are - https://imgur.com/a/Mh50YtW - in case anyone is interested. Also, as promised this is the link to the document with all the changes done to the subtitles in case anyone wants to read them - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jaZOqFFItj9UMS89DFViFI7tWGKl2DH_WIjmjlvsMzU/edit – most are very minor, but some are major rewrites. Do note that Vida_Winter (who spearheaded doing these subs) didn’t finish adding the notes explaining the changes done to episodes 22 and 23, she will probably get to it at some point but from what I remember from the discord discussions is that especially episode 22 had really bad official subtitles, so there were a lot of changes there, and we had a native Japanese speaker help out a lot with the changes.

Thank you for the reaction! Some scenes that always gets me all the time is 1) when Federica running towards Kiri calling him to stop him 2) that scene when Kiri leaves with Rei 3) when Shin realizes that it is Lena and she is alive 4) last scene when they introduce themselves. Also that scene when Lena is surprised when she gets that list of ppl who will join her team - The list had a lot of names that were blacked out and those were Shin and the others. The reason why Federacy did that was to surprise Lena.

I laughed a lot when you were freaking out over like those scenes with dead things, how you were like “stop showing me dead things”😄

I haven’t read the light novel so I don’t know if there is any big hint on the Baleygr name somewhere in it. However I read some interesting facts on 86 wiki - https://86-eighty-six.fandom.com/wiki/Shinei_Nouzen Under the trivia section, there are some points on why the legion might be calling Shin as Baleygr. Please do note that the page does mention that there might be light novel spoilers so read at your own risk if you do.

Fun fact. Bocchi the Rock cast is almost a ragtag of ex 86. Kita's VA is Ikumi Hasegawa, Lena in 86. Nijika's VA is Sayumi Suzushiro, Kurena in 86 and for last Bocchi's VA, Aoyama Yoshino has a one liner part in 86 as student in the lecture Lena does in episode 2. They talk how they meet the first time in the production of 86 in Bocchi the radio. Ikumi and Sayumi had a lot of work together since then.
