Disappointed with her self-doubt, McKenzie decided to have a smoke break, and we sat there alone on the dunes in the heat and bright sun and talked for several minutes about body images. No matter what others may say or think about your image, it only matters what you think of your own self, and McKenzie struggles with that often. She always appreciates how flattering I am to her, but as I've said a thousand times, "These aren't compliments, they're facts."
