Hello there!

It's hard to believe how many mistakes John Wojtowicz & company made when they decided to rob a bank in August of 1972 -- the heist that was eventually dramatized in the film Dog Day Afternoon. That movie includes a few of their goofy missteps, but it leaves out some of my favorites: The three failed attempts that began the day; the terrible timing with the armored car; and my favorite detail of how the bank manager cleverly managed to tip off his colleagues about a robbery in progress. I've got all the details in this week's bonus video, plus a completely unrelated invitation to join me in Monster Hunter with the friend code WH38N3SN.

Do you archive your twitch streams?

Bob Scardino

I hope this is getting to Matt Baume. .Have you ever reviewed The Way He Looks directed by Danny Ribeiro?

Chris Weakley

Great video, but.... The green/yellow rectangular light in your glasses is very distracting.

mattbaume

I'm not familiar with that one, I'll check it out!

Sky

Yes, but I assume you've put the film/documentary audio on to a separate audio track that isn't recorded because when you play the film and documentary footage on stream there is no audio. It's a shame they aren't recorded long term. You may find youself wanting to looking back on them in the future and they're gone forever. Just saying that it may be worth recording them locally and then uploading to a separate Youtube channel unlisted.

mattbaume

Oh yes I'd forgotten about that -- it's set up for Twitch to wipe out the film's audio. I'll look into long-term storage.

I saw it as a teenager in the 70s and to this day 50 years later my favorite line is "Kiss me, kiss me, I like to be kissed when I'm being fucked." I still use it in business.

Thanks. I've been watching a lot of gay coming of age movies lately and this one touched me. Maybe because I read to a gay blind kid when I was a gay kid in college a few decades ago.
