Here´s my drawing club illustration walkthrough for August :)

I had a lot of fun drawing this little dog! Always wanted to practice drawing dogs a bit more simple and I really like the result of this one!

I´m also thinking of adding this one to the shop, maybe as a tote bag, or print? Which products do you think would look good?

The process of this illustration went a bit like this:

First I blocked in all the colors on separate layers. I used the 6B pencil for the whole illustration. Lately, I really like using only that brush. I experiment with more brushes every now and then, but I always come back to that.

Then I made all the outlines. I do that as the second step and not the first one because I'm not outlining the whole illustration, I always like to keep some spots without lines.

Then I drew all the textures for every blocked color layer with clipping masks.

Next I added even more texture and shadows.

Then I drew the light and the dogs cheeks.

Lastly, I added some little details to the background and my signature.

And the illustration is finished :)

I hope you like this quick illustration walkthrough!
