My December Drawing Club Sketches (Patreon)

Hello, my lovely Patron! So today I´m sharing with you my sketches for our drawing club!

This month's theme is Victorian Christmas, so I was thinking of a vintage old-style Christmas with lots of candles and greenery. Ghost stories told by the fireplace. Hand-made Christmas decorations. And cold, snowy weather!

And the prompts are:

This is the moodboard I made for us, and I also tried using it myself:

I also went on Pinterest and scrolled through a lot of other Victorian Christmas photos and pictures for inspiration, and it was so much fun as I just love this aesthetic soo soo much! I´m actually also always trying to decorate our home in that style and slowly collecting vintage items over the years that I love and can use over and over :)

Unfortunately, this year I´m not in a very Christmas mood, and I don´t really know why. My husband is taking a three-week Christmas vacation starting today, so we plan to have some cozy weeks and Christmassy days with family and friends. So I really hope to get into the Christmas spirit by next week!

Ok but now let me show you my messy little sketches!

The first prompt I chose is "warm lantern light". And this is the sketch I made for it:

I think that I will also take this one for the finalized illustration walkthrough! It should be a night scene, also with a moon that I haven´t sketched.

The next prompt I sketched is "cozy fireplace". For this one, I took a photo from Pinterest to help me with the fireplace and the perspective. And I just had to add a little fox reading infront of the fireplace!

And the last sketch I made is for the prompt "sleigh adventure". I think this one is not very Victorian, except for the old wooden sleigh. But maybe I could adjust the clothing of the bunny to be more Victorian if I plan to finalize this one!
