February Drawing Club Sketches (Patreon)
Content
Hello you! Hope you´re having a great day!
I finally had the time to sit down and just freely and messily sketch a bit yaay!
Last month, I unfortunately could not find the time to join our drawing club, and I was so so sad about that, as I loved the theme and prompts so much.
But these months prompts were also a lot of fun as I just love drawing anything tea-related haha
One of my goals for this year regarding art and drawing is to draw more different animals again, and not just foxes. Last year, I kinda got stuck in my comfort zone of mostly just drawing foxes from the same few perspectives that I know so well. So for this months drawing club sketches, I already started with sketching some other animals besides my foxes, and it was sooo much fun!
This month's theme is Teatime Tales
And the prompts are:
sharing stories
steam rising
honey jar
cozy tablecloth
tea party for two
sweet treats
Here's the moodboard again:
This time, I used the Blunt Pencil for sketching, not the 6B pencil like I usually do, and it felt so good to draw with it, especially for such messy sketches! I think I will, from now on use this brush for this very first loose sketching phase and then make the cleaner sketch with the 6B pencil :)
So the first sketch I made is these two having a tea party. Haven´t drawn a hedgehog in a while now and I really like how it turned out with those cute clothes!
I definitely want to focus more on this sketch and refine it, and then also color it, as I like it a lot.
So the next prompt I chose to draw was a honey jar, and I decided on drawing a bear sipping tea, looking through a beautiful wooden window of an old house, and the honey jar standing beside him. I actually really love bears, but I always feel like I can´t draw them the way I actually want to.
So next one I chose the prompt steam rising and drew this little fox from another perspective than the ones I usually draw. He´s of course reading a book, having his big mug with tea besides him. I think this would be a great sticker :)
And the last sketch that I made was already with the thought of the March Mail Club Art Print :) But I think the prompt "sharing stories" would still kinda fit, as these animals are on the way to their first outdoor gathering of the year, as it got warmer and the snow finally melted, and they will definitely share some stories from their long winter!
Let me know which one of these I should finalize for the drawing club illustration walkthrough!!
Have you already started sketching?
Would love to see your sketches, so please share them in the drawing club chat here on Patreon if you want to :)
