A little Behind the Scenes of Updating my Shop (Patreon)
Content
Hey 👋 Today I will show you some behind the scenes content of my shop update preparation week :) I also posted a Vlog on my YouTube Channel about this week.
I started my week with glazing my Fimo fox pins. And totally messed it up...
Somehow this time the varnish that i use smeared the gouache paint completely ... I was so sad about it ... it took a long time to form these 3D pins.
The next time I have to spray fixative on the paint before I go over it with varnish.
I´m also thinking of trying out Sculpey glazing or UV resin for my next pins.
Then I made cute backing cards for the pins. I used Capture X Fine Art Inkjet Paper, because it was the thickest I had at home atm.
The colors turned out very good on that paper, so I will use it for prints in the future :)
I also made some stickers for my Memo Prints, because I kinda forgot to put my logo on the pages. But now as I saw them with my brand sticker on the back I think it´s maybe better without my name on the pages, so there is more space for art. What do you think? Do you mind when there is a logo on every memo pad page or not?
For my Logo, I made a Brush in Procreate, so I don't have to copy and paste it inside Procreate every time.
The next step was counting everything. Memo Pads, Bookmarks and Stickers for inventory.
Still need to figure out how to make inventory .... Maybe someone has some tips for that?
Now I just write everything in my journal.
I also prepared more sticker packs this week. As I don´t have a Cricut or Silhouette atm I have to cut every sticker by hand. But it´s ok, I mostly watch a movie while doing that :)
And if my hand doesn't start to hurt then it's even very meditative haha
For Memo Pads and Sticker Sheet Packaging, I currently use plastic bags. I had a lot of them at home already. After they are gone I will buy eco-friendly packaging! :)
The biggest part of preparing for my shop update was photographing and editing everything. I´m still not very happy with the edited photos... But I hope to find a cohesive look in the near future. I don´t want to use a filter as I do it every time on social media so that the colors look as real as possible...
And as I got so many questions about what printer I use, it´s the Canon Pixma iP8750.
Sticker paper is the PPD Inkjet matte vinyl paper. (also need to try the glossy one)
For Pin Backing Cards: Capture X natural matte paper 200g/m²
For Sticker Backing Cards: Brother matte inkjet paper145 g/m² (I had this already at home from my office printer)
If you have any questions feel free to ask :)
