🌸 May Update Blogpost 🌸 (Patreon)

Hi my lovely friend!

It´s time for the monthly "What I´m Up To" Blog post yaaay!

I had A LOT to do this month, and as always when it´s like this I´m somewhat inactive on my socials... really don´t know how all the other creators are managing to work on big projects and still post on social media regularly, because it´s HARD 😅

And then it´s warmer and warmer every day, and I just want to be outside and work in our garden and on the veggie beds 😁

I really hope you had an amazing month of May till now! And that you could enjoy the outdoors and be creative 🧡

I try to work from outside as much as possible. I put a little bench on the terrace in front of my studio and it´s really cozy here! 

It's just a temporary solution because we need to rebuild this terrace this summer. It´s ancient and broken. 

So and what have I done in may meanwhile?

Firstly, I finally finished my Illustration Website yaaay, really can´t believe it haha!

It was so much back and forth thinking about what I wanted to include and how to present children's book illustrations and licensing the best on my new website, but also include the Patreon learning part and my Etsy Shop. But I think it looks good now. At least I will be happy for a while until I want to make changes to it again! 😅

I also added a newsletter to my website. (my first ever newsletter 😁) I will announce shop updates through the newsletter and there will be freebies now and then. Of course, you will be still the first one to know about new products and shop updates (but I still would be very happy if you subscribe to my occasional newsletter 🥰)!

Then I worked on the new children's book, where I already have shown you the sketches in the last blog post. 

And this week I finished coloring all the pages and sent them to review by my client! Now I´m waiting for feedback and for the cover text.

Then I also worked on Illustrations for Baby Shower Thank You Cards.

I did the Illustrations and my client will add the text to them and print the Cards.

This was definitely one of my favorite projects so far! I could draw all my favorite animals surrounded by flowers 🥰

And when it comes to my private little mountain world, we were on a lot of walks in the forests again, finally, it´s possible to walk inside the forest and not only on the paths!I really missed this and the smell of the forest during winter! AND the snow in the woods higher up in the mountains also finally melted yaaaay!

I build a little veggie bed this weekend, to plant veggies and fruits again. And we will build two more big raised beds for this summer. I´m really hoping to get a sufficient harvest this year with the raised beds.When we were just planting in the ground the harvest wasn't really well ... I think that the ground lacks in nutrients for the veggies.  That's why we want to try the raised bed variant.

Yes and that´s it for this months update! I hope that next month I will have more time for making new shop products again 🥰
