Illustration Walkthrough - "Cozy Cottage" (Patreon)

Hello you!

I´m co-hosting a new challenge, the "Cozy Autumn - drawing challenge" and as I just finished the first prompt illustration I wanted to share a little breakdown of the process with you :) 

I´m so happy with this one turned out! I actually had to start with it a second time because I didn´t like the first illustration I made for that prompt. I´m drawing more and more backgrounds lately, which I´m very happy about, I I also think they are getting better :) 

You are also the first one who sees that Illustration, because I haven´t posted it to my socials. Will do that this evening!

Here is a very quick walkthrough of this illustration, from sketch, to drawing in the base colors, adding texture and drawing the details:

The process of this one went a little bit like this:

First I sketched my idea 

Then I reduce the opacity of that sketch layer to make a color test on a new layer above it - I haven´t shown that here.

After I played around with the colors till I´m happy with then I start to fill in the base colors of all the background and all the elements in the illustration

After that, I add all the textures, the trees and I draw the fox character

Then I add a bit more details on the house and the ground

And the last part was adding muuuch more little details like plants, leaves, pumpkins, mushrooms and smoke from the chimney
