I wanted to make such a post for such a long time now so that all the brushes I use in my Drawing Guides (and my other illustrations) are in one place for you.

So that you can use this as a guide to try the brushes yourself and also know where to download them when there are not directly from Procreate!#

Before I go into detail about where the brushes are from and for what I use them, these are the Brushes I use in the Drawing Guides:

HB Pencil, 6B Pencil, Bardot Sketching Brush & Oberon Brush

So there is only the Bardot Sketching Brush that is a purchased, but you can also use the 6B pencil instead. I only use these brushes in my guides so that it isn´t so overwhelming. 

When I started digital illustration in Procreate I only used the HB Pencil or the 6B pencil for a whole illustration so I also make Drawing Guides only with one illustration to show you that you can create beautiful art without buying a ton of brush sets.

As I already draw for a couple of years on my iPad, I purchased all my brush sets over time when I wanted to try out something new. After testing the brushes for a while I added the ones I loved the most from those sets to my drawing process.

Now let´s dive in to ALL the brushes I use for my art:

The Brushes I use the most

The brushes I use the most, and in every single of my illustrations are these 3:

HB Pencil

6B Pencil

Bardot Sketching Pencil

You can find the HB & 6B Pencils directly in Procreate by the Sketching Pencils.

I use these brushes mostly to draw animals and items but also for details in the background.

The brushes I use the most for background drawing are the following:

Oberon Brush

Bardot Scribble Brushes

Watercolor Wash High Res

Pencil Softy

Colour Crayon

The Oberon Brush is directly from Procreate in the Drawing Section and I use it to block colors.

The Bardot Scribble Brushes are also from the Bardot Brushes Set and I use them for texture on big parts like grass or bushes. 

The Watercolor Wash High Res is from the ViviBrush All-Stars brush set from Vivien Mildenberger.Here is the link to that set: https://vvberger.gumroad.com/l/vivibrushallstars I use this brush mostly for texture on items.

The Pencil Softy & Colour Crayon Brushes are from the Sketch Book brush set from Lucy Fleming.Here is the link to that set: https://www.lucyflemingillustrations.com/product-page/sketch-book-procreate-brush-pack  I use these brushes for trees and plants. I also looove all the brushes from Lucy, and experiment with them A LOT!

The August Ro Brush Set is from August Ro, I think a lot of you do know her art from Instagram. This set contains mostly brushes not pencils and I love the texture of them. Phuu that was a lot of brushes hahaha but as I know that it´s not that easy to find good brushes when you start with illustrating in Procreate I thought I could share all of the sets I collected on my Ipad.
