Illustration Walkthrough (Patreon)

This illustration is an old one but I just love it so I thought I could make a little illustration walkthrough for you out of it!

I always have a hard time when drawing animal faces from a front view but I think this fox face turned our very good :)

Here is a very quick walkthrough of this illustration, from sketch to drawing in the base colors, adding lines, textures, and light:

The process of this one went a little bit like this:

First I sketched, very roughly. This time I didn´t clean up the sketch how I often do it 

Then I always reduce the opacity of the sketch layer and play around with colors that I think would fit the illustration, so I never just start coloring in without a plan. picking the right colors is so important!

Then I start to fill in the base colors

After that, I added linework to the animals, plants and flowers

Then I drew all the fur textures and also shadow and light to the plants and flowers

In the last step I added more texture and light to the lighter color plants and also texture to the background with some stars
