February Illustration Walkthrough (Patreon)

This is my February illustration walkthrough of one of the Drawing Club Sketches:

The process of this illustration went somehow like this:

First I made a cleaner sketch out of the messy one from sketching the February Drawing Club prompts as I wasn´t fully happy with how the bear's body looked. Then as always picked the colors and made a quick color test.

I blocked in all the colors on separate layers.

Then I focused on drawing the bear. I started with outlining and drawing the face.

The next step was drawing the bear's fur, adding shade and light. 

Then I made the textures of the other elements in the illustration with watercolor and chalk brushes.

I drew all the other little details on the book, stone, and bow.

Lastly, I added stars and a bit of grass to the background and put a layer with paper texture on top of the whole illustration
