The weekend is finally here. I'm off to Southern California for a quick trip to spend some time with some friends. We're going to visit a few wineries, eat delicious food, and probably stay up too late watching sappy movies. A girls' weekend is always a good way for me to recharge the batteries and laugh a lot. Laughing is always good medicine.

I hope all of you have exciting plans this weekend or at least get to enjoy it a bit. I tend to think that we work way too much in this country and don't take the time we need to enjoy life. I recently called a shoe company in France and their shipping department was on vacation for the entire month of August. I can't even imagine taking a whole month off, but I think they have the right idea and probably a lot less stress. I feel lucky to have a few days.
