Barrell Craft Spirits, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is an independent blender and bottler of unique, aged, cask strength sourced whiskey and rum, recognized for its blending expertise. They design, produce, and launch Spirits with a focus on what people want now and not what has been successful in the past. This affords them access to some of the most interesting and delicious spirits in the world.

This bottle of Barrel Bourbon Single Barrel Cask Strength was a gift and it's a partnership of Total Wine and Barrell Craft. It was very unique and a bit on the strong side at a little over 115 proof. I find that I have to really sip it slow and let the alcohol settle a bit before I can get some of those flavors. It has more light notes and a light floral taste as opposed to the rich caramel of most of the bourbons I've had. This is one of the few where I added a splash of water and it really brought the flavors out. I did enjoy it quite a bit once I brought the flavors out.
