Great video, as always. The recent Venezuela and Greenland situation has really just forced everyone to come out and scream out nonsense in a frankly comical manner. The "america big, therefore america good, therefore america can do whatever they want" right wing idiots who were isolationists that said "why war with russia?" 2 years ago are now celebrating tensions with europe to "fight russia" and foreign military interventions, the big three european foreign policy groups also came out in full force: the strongly worded "oh my" moderates that barely even care about foreign politics, european integrationists calling for a stronger and less dependent europe and american shills willignly taking the knee. Western leftists showing again that they have no ability for nuance and will support any dictator as long as they oppose the US, and of course the naive latinamericans that celebrated it (understandably so) with hopeless faith of venezuelan democracy. Being a half european half latino really put me in a funny situation where everybody wanted to ask my opinion, and it also gave me the ability to see that 95% of people basically have a robot like predictable canned opinion ready (an opinion that likely disregards any of the actual facts and is based on very shaky extrapolation of what happens "in the region" or historically). Honestly, people need to learn that they don't have to have an opinion on everything, if you don't know maybe you should just hold back.

You are a mile above anything else I consume. The only outlet that I would compare you to is the economist. But they are a lot more people. And in a comparison - I’m not sure who I’d choose. You constantly make me see things from new perspectives and help me look below the easy explanations. With sources/facts that I can check. Not ”I have interviewed people who can confirm”. Thank you!

I'd love to get your feedback on this, Sarcasmitron. An acquaintance claimed that the US did not, in fact, kidnap Maduro but rather "exfiltrated" him. She did not do a good job explaining her reasoning because apparently I was too insistent that she explain herself. The best I could cobble together is this (and she refused to confirm or deny that this is what she thinks): 1. Maduro is a US asset [citation needed] 2. He is a very valuable asset worth staging a multi-branch, multi-million-dollar mission to recover [citation needed] 3. He and the US government are colluding in a scheme to economically suppress the American people via cocaine [citation needed] 4. He was extracted at his request because he wants to stop being the dictator of Venezuela [what? also, citation needed] 5. So I guess he'll be acquitted and move to a farm in Virginia? Or he'll get a slap-on-the-wrist sentence or be pardoned? 6. The US is going along with this because members of the government want access to Venezuela's oil reserves and removing Maduro provides an excuse or opportunity to exploit those resources—including the notoriously loose-lipped President of the US, Donald Trump, who has been vilifying and bad-mouthing Maduro specifically for years 7. The evidence for this is that the mission to extract him went too smoothly—must have been an inside job [citation needed]—; and he was charged with cocaine smuggling, which is impossible to do without the involvement and approval of the US government [citation needed] (which coincidentally means that the DoJ is exposing the CIA's plot, I guess); and members of the government have engaged in various manners of self-dealing before.

loved every second of this, as per usual you seem to be uniquely capable of digging through the bias and slop of media these days and give us all such a clear big picture understanding of what’s going on. Somewhat unrelated question: you once mentioned on a poll of potential video ideas, a video on the current state of the democratic party, and though the poll had let another video idea prevail I still find that video idea to be quite an interesting topic for you to cover and would honestly really love to hear your thoughts on the dems, especially with how weird their 2025 has been and what expectations they seem to have in mind for 2028. Is this a video you might consider doing in the future? please give it some thought as I think it’s something me and the rest of the fanbase would like some guidance and help understanding with. As always thank you for your input and hard work, and for expanding my brain on the fascinating world of U.S. politics. thank you for your attention to this matter.

Holy moly Sarcasmitron you keep knocking em out of the park. This is _the_ best analysis I've seen on all of this. You even managed to slightly mitigate my frustration with how Rutte has handled Trump on the international stage, but boy do I still wish my country still had leaders like Palme who could make a balanced alliance with the USA.

Hello, I have a question, in your videos you talk at length about the bureaucracy/internal politics of US government organisations like the CIA. I wanted to ask if you have any book reccomendations for someone interested in learning more about how these organisations function/make decisions. I've been interested in the topic for a while and you seem well informed on the matter so I thought I'd ask.
