February print & IMPORTANT updates (Patreon)

Hi everyone! As I share the print for February mail I’d like to make a bit of a bittersweet announcement; February will be the final month of patreon mail. This is something I’ve been considering for a while now, and there are a few reasons I’ll be discontinuing it. So, naturally I figured I’d draw Keno, in the same color palette as the first print I ever did :’)

If you’d like to receive the final patreon mail, be sure to upgrade to tier 3 before the end of the month.

The first and most unfortunate reason for the discontinuation is the expense. After I cover the steadily increasing costs of prints, stickers, envelopes, postage, and most importantly labor (I have been employing Goat to handle all patreon mail as well as correspond with any folks who need assistance) there is no profit. Which honestly has been okay, I’ve been operating with mail as a complete wash for some time now, I’ve just really enjoyed the aspect of giving my supporters something tangible to hold on to! Unfortunately, there has been a huge increase in people not receiving their benefits, which I do not have any control over after it has been put in the post box. There is no tracking on the envelopes, so there is no way to determine what happens when delivery has been attempted multiple times with no success. Because of this, I am not comfortable simply raising the price of this tier if some people still do not receive their items.

I do want to express what an amazing experience doing the monthly mail has been. Every month I would look at the places all over the world my art was going to, and that really means so much. I’ve been sending mail every month for almost FIVE YEARS,  and a handful of you have been there since day one, getting every single print and sticker I have ever made. When I started doing patreon mail, I was still living at my parent’s house, hand writing every address on the envelopes. Then a few years later,  we were sending over 160 prints and stickers a month! I don’t know how to fully express how much all of this means. Thank you all so much. I’m not saying mail won’t return in the future, but it is bye for now ❤️

So what will happen with tier 3? Well I’m certainly not sharing LESS art, because I will be uploading an exclusive tier 3 comic starting in March! I will be announcing it shortly, and I know it’s one you all will be very excited for. Maybe a highly requested return of some characters… I’d like to add another benefit as well, I’ve just been considering what that should be.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text, but I hope you understand my decision for the health of this page. Plus, comics are what I really love to do (obviously….) so focusing on that has always been my main goal. If you’d are tier 1 or 2 this change obviously will not affect you at all lmao.
