The rain never ceases in Amegakure. It falls like a blessing and a burden — like memory itself.

Konan stood still, her deep amber eyes fixed forward through the curtain of rain. Behind her, the spire of the tallest tower pierced the clouds like a blade. Her dark cloak, embroidered in crimson and gold, clung to her body in the moisture, its high collar framing her pale face like a solemn crown. A single paper rose adorned her blue hair, untouched by the elements — a miracle born of her will.

“Nagato… Yahiko… I wonder if you’d scold me now for what I’ve become,” she whispered, lips barely moving. Her voice was carried away by the wind.

She turned slightly, her back now facing the city she once protected like a silent sentinel. But tonight, the city wasn’t watching — it was dreaming, and Konan could finally breathe.

She looked over her shoulder, eyes softening. “I’ve carried pain longer than I can remember… But tonight, I want to feel something else.”
