Content
Dear Patrons,
It's been only two weeks since last release, yet we have managed to prepare a content-rich release that you'll enjoy for sure!
It's all about traffic
This release focuses on traffic; We have added a long-awaited feature - the ability to skin traffic trucks. This in turn gives you a chance to create truck-trailer combos with your company skins and see them driving around the map. Seeing your own drivers in traffic is one of the more common requests, and I believe our truck traffic skins are the closest thing currently available.
At the moment, we have 3 trucks available for ATS and 3 trucks available for ETS2. We'll add a couple of new trucks in every upcoming version of Mods Studio 2. Unfortunately, creating trucks requires a lot of work, so we can only do it in parts.
Keeping the focus on traffic, we have added 4 additional traffic trailers for American Truck Simulator: Food tank, Chip van, Bulk feed and Flatbed curtain trailers.Update your old traffic trailers
As a last-minute addition to MS2, we have created a simple traffic trailer upgrade tool (template). You can simply select a completed mod that contains traffic trailers, and re-export it. Mods Studio will do the necessary upgrade from the old standard to the one introduced with ATS & ETS2 1.38 update.
Pro features
This version of Mods Studio 2 is the first one that comes with special "Pro" features that are Patron-only. You can activate them by verifying your email address within MS2. I will post a detailed article about this within the next day or two. This is an experimental feature at the moment - do not worry if it doesn't work right away.
Next versions
In the next versions, we'll add more options to skin traffic trucks and trailers (new models), and also add support to skin AI traffic like buses and vans. Of course, we'll continue working on other features as well.
One bigger "push" will be directed towards documentation and tutorials, as I feel we lack in that area.
As always, Thank you for your continued support!
