Now we know where Sunny gets that manipulation tactic of walking away from an argument and disregarding the person’s emotions and point of view.Also his dad is using her not converting as another way to manipulate Sunny, as someone born and raised in Islam my parents said they would never disown us for marrying outside the religion. Shahin meant that she’s a foreigner because she’s not from their culture and not just the religion part (that was my take).

I went back to see what Veah said to Sunny's dad after Sunny said they got engaged. The dad asked, "You're going to get married?" And she said, "Eventually, yes." So, no she didn't tell Sunny's dad they had sex. lol

That guy in South Africa is not Sunny’s brother, he’s just a friend/roommate. The rest of his family is back in Bangladesh. I thought the father moved to South Africa when Sunny was young because he could make more money there to support the family, and Sunny moved there more recently to work with him. Did I make that up?

I worked at a nonprofit that was an at-will employment. After 8 years, they called me into the office to fire me with no reason. I can see how that might have happened to Niles especially with having to take off for the show.

i asked a doctor i work with who’s from ghana about the knocking ceremony. he said he did it with his wife and they got married a year later. i thought it was interesting. he said it’s just showing your intentions to the family, and if they see you somewhere with a woman or in a bad situation they have the right to question what you’re doing

Did anyone else notice when Sunny’s dad cracked his knuckles? I’d already noticed how terrified Sunny was of this man and that made me suspect there was some physical abuse when Sunny was a kid…I think cutting this man out of his life is actually the best thing he could do.

Sunnys dad is a POS and an asshole. Sunny definitely does not need him in his life. He even said his dad wasn't around when he was a kid. I think his dad is using this Veah thing to control sunny but still be able to leave
