OMG Lucille is Debby 2.0 “She has to consider me”! Why not frame that? What a nightmare. And Greg is such a schlub. Take a shot every time Greg talks about bread. This is a nightmare for Joan. Poor thing. That mom is so f-cking provincial and the attachment to her son whom she probably wishes still weighed 480lbs so he would never go anywhere. He needs his own place (and a backbone)

Greg is infuriating to me. I kept saying to the TV, you're 35 and engaged!!! He should have worked on getting his own place before Joan came, which would have been ideal because then they could have had sexy time right away without Mom making a federal case over which room Joan was going to sleep in. AND they wouldn't have had to apologize for not wanting to eat reheated pasta at 10:30 p.m. the night Joan arrived 😂IMO, getting his own place now that she's here should be the FIRST priority. He needs to rent something like a really small apartment -- it might not be his top preference but at least it would be a place where he would have privacy with his fiance away from Mama Nosey! Their storyline will only be tolerable for me if Greg bucks up and starts acting like an adult.

Also, Jake was spot-on talking about how Shekinah more than likely deeply resents Sarper's close bond with his parents. I think if she was completely honest, she would admit that she is extremely jealous of the relationship he has with them. I speak from experience because I was once in a relationship where my ex had a very distant relationship with his parents and he was SUPER vocal about his resentment of my extremely close relationship with mine (I'm an only child and my parents are probably around the same age as Sarper's.) If I'm being totally honest, when I was watching that scene my first reaction toward her was thinking "fuck off" (I know that's a strong reaction but she was just rubbing me the wrong way especially with the way she was completely invalidating his feelings). She needs to do some serious work on childhood trauma, preferably in therapy, and making peace with her own fraught family relationships before passing judgment on Sarper's connection with his parents.

Sourdough sissy here and Greg’s loaves look horrible. He beats them to a pulp, which we saw in the first episode when he was handling the dough and they’re flat and look underbaked. A good sourdough should have a deep rich color and a dome to indicate good rise/starter strength. His cookies were overbaked and dry!! For the love of good don’t open a bakery.

My husband and I are trying to immigrate to Germany and we're taking German classes + Duolingo. I'm realizing how easy it is to "sound stupid" in another language because you don't use the right tense or you're misgendering nouns (German nouns are feminine, masculine, or neutral with no rhyme or reason). I've always sympathized with ESL speakers and assume they are more articulate in their native tongue, but now I'm living it.

New Orleans sissy here, born and raised. And I co-sign all of the travel advice given by Matty and Poodle in this episode. Do not come here throughout the months of April through September. October through March is when it's nice. And I would highly recommend not planning a trip during Mardi Gras, unless you're specifically coming for that purpose. Otherwise it'll be way too crowded and not fun at all. I love New Orleans, it's such a beautiful place but I definitely agree that traveling here needs to be done in a certain way to thoroughly enjoy it!!!
