My cousin is 60 and had to come out to us as a family in 1988 because he was HIV+ and didn't know his fate. He got lucky and got the cocktail and is still here with us. When Kenny talked about all his friends who were no longer with him all I could think of was my cousin. He now works with the aging HIV+ population and mentors those newly diagnosed. He is also the person who introduced a very sheltered 19 year old to gay culture by taking me to Sunday brunch with all his friends (he was 29 at the time). It was quite a shock but I've been ally every since :)
