Rumor has it the thing that makes you sick from cookie dough is bacteria in the uncooked flour, not the raw eggs!

Yes. I know I'm late here but...raw eggs = risk of salmonella and raw flour = risk of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. Flour is made from grain that comes directly from the field -- it's not treated at all -- and the danger is of bacteria from animal waste contaminating the grain with this particularly dangerous form of E. coli. Never eat raw dough or batter of any kind. Heat raw flour to kill bacteria by spreading it on a sheet and baking at 350°F for five minutes. Not sure why I bothered with this but I'm leaving it lol

Its really good to know!! I didn't have the details and now I do. I ALLLLways eat raw dough so I'll be stopping that now 😅
