What a garbage reunion. Say what you will about gross shake BUT he had valid points and was trying his best to spill tea but production/hosts and cast mates shut him down. This show is fake as fuck.

Also nick and Vanessa (esp Vanessa) may be the worst hosts ever. Cringe factor was SO high…I don’t mind when someone has an opinion but Vanessa was horrible - constantly cutting people off, trying to steal the show, inserting her opinion everywhere rather than just sitting back. Girl has no chill. And by the way…nick isn’t exactly a fucking prize, the way she talked about him was as though he was some stellar husband of the century. He treated Jessica simpson like she was an ignorant child on their show (ok she was but that’s beside the point - he talked down to her all the time), and there were rumors he was cheating on her. Yuck. She had to tone it down.

I am a loyal, $8 cringe tier member, so please don’t take this as an announcement of departure from the patreon, but y’all are tryyyyyin me w these love is blind takes. I fully understand how important editing and storytelling is when it comes to reality tv. I just hope you can *consider* looking at it from the point of view of a single straight millennial (I know, it’s hard!). Shake and shayne are common types of men (that I, a 31 year old single woman who dates men) often encounter (unfortunately) in the dating world. It wasn’t the editing that manipulated you into thinking shake had grown, SHAKE manipulated you. Nick and Danielle are a mess, they didn’t get a “bad edit.” They were both at points in their lives where they were ready and wanting to settle down. I believe the same for jarrette and iyanna. Timing is everything. I loved this whole season, and the best part of it was the discussions I’ve had w other ppl about it. The reunion fell flat to me, I wanted more drama. Next season is going to be in Seattle!

Omg I forgot to say- you queens keep saying “a year later.” According to Reddit and nick sweating out of every orifice of his body on his wedding day, they filmed in the summer and the reunion in February.

I was not prepared for the Julia Sugarbaker monologue ❤! Thank you for recapping this season. Shake is definitely gonna get called, "dat Nobu jagoff" everywhere he goes in Chicago. Btw, did we ever see Mallory's house? She mentioned in the pods that she owns a 2flat several times, but i don't remember seeing it. She was so absent from the show.

So glad Mattie agree with me; I did like her short cut too but bc she has such a cherubic, round face, the short cut made her look much younger. I think if she went with braids, but smaller ones and less for the size of her head, it would have fit her better. I think the next time she gets braids done too she’ll probably go with less bc that shit weighs on your head and neck if you have too many, trust I know😂

I’m reading Jessica’s book right now but I listened to You’re Wrong About talk about her book first and WOW Nick is no angel lmao. I was shocked that Vanessa would even bring that up because we already know from Jessica’s POV that he was wrong a loooot of the time in their relationship. But because the times he got it right were all in the media we had no idea how bad he was to her.

If he would have just shut his ass up and been more polite and actually apologetic his points might have been heard. I watched the reunion last night and subsequently had a dream that I was on a tv show where Nick and Vanessa were helping me plan my wedding, and in the process helping me decide if I was marrying the right person. Among other things, Nick helped me pick out my future husband's wedding ring and also helped me decide on my eye makeup!!!! In the end I decided not to get married and the last scene was Nick calling up my fiance and saying "I'm sorry man, but it's not gonna happen." AND NOW I'M POSITIVE THAT THIS IS THE SHOW THAT NICK AND VANESSA SHOULD HOST

Shayne and Shania (however you spell it, no one cares) TOTALLY hooked up!!! His reaction when it was brought up was SOOOO much more uncomfortable than it would have been for 'just getting together in a group of friends' . Even for Shayne, that reaction was WAY out of line for what was supposedly a 'nothing' meeting up with friends. She lied, IMO, because she and her family needs her image to be the 'good christian girl'. At first I thought she lied to spare Natalies feelings, but nope. She's not that emotionally generous. She lied because she knew her brothers, dad and Sally Struthers would all be watching it.

I find it so crazy that there isn't more conversation - not just on the pod but everywhere - about Shayne's behaviour being (borderline - or not even) emotionally abusive! I thought the way he reacted at the baseball bachelors was a red flag, him going back and forth in a banter type way with Natalie on the honeymoon and then suddenly flipping on her and telling her she was hurting his feelings, and then it all escalating to a place where he said he hated her in their big fight and THEN gaslighting her to try make her admit her wrongdoing (that she "pushed" him to that big reaction in their fight) on the reunion in front of everyone was all just classic signs of abuse. I mean he did remind me of my ex in that way so maybe I'm a little sensitive to it but I just saw huge red flags. Then he totally slept with Shaina but when it was brought up he played the victim looking too distraught to avoid talking about it in the reunion. As of the day of the wedding I felt Natalie's demeanour had completely changed and she looked traumatized to me. I think based on his anger over not hitting a ball at the bachelor party, I would not be surprised if that fight was a lot worse than was let on. I think he really showed a lot of subtle signs of being a dangerous person but I haven't heard that many people saying it so maybe it's just me. He is also very charming in a lot of ways and kinda knows what to say when publicly (calling shake out because he knows that's a narrative that will get a good response and if shake is the villain, he can't be) and that also gives me some red flags.

I kinda agree, I think Shane's relationship with Natalie would have become even more abusive at some stage in the "marriage" had continued. The fact that he lashed out the night before...eeesh. Almost like he was testing her. So glad she said no!

I COMPLETELY agree. I was beyond triggered by his unpredictable behavior (but this is also my own PTSD and trauma talking), his yelling, what I perceived as over-sensitivity to Natalie’s teasing, the GASLIGHTING, his drug and alcohol use, constantly playing the victim… etc. etc. I would be concerned for NatLie’s physical and emotional safety if she was with him right now. I don’t mean fir that to sound overly dramatic—I think if he sought professional help, all of his positive traits could shine through. I wish health and happiness for both.

Thank you!!!!! I thought I was taking crazy pills because so many people loved Vanessa Lachey. I’m sorry, her outburst was unprofessional and cutting people off was not it. Also, she’s trying to say she would still be with her man if he was ugly girl that’s fine but it’s easy to sit there and say all that when he’s actually attractive. Puh-lease!

They never answered the biggest question of the season: when they met up by that lake in Chicago, and Shayne complimented Shaina’s hat, she calls it a cowboy hat (?) and then says: UTAH JAZZ BASKETBALL. Why?!?!????? What does it mean?????? I’ll never understand
